What's the difference between Classic, Sketch, and Ciao?
What was your first Copic Marker?
The most common answer is definitely Copic Sketch, which is known and used around the world by beginners, professionals, and everyone in-between. But maybe you got your start with Ciao… or you're one of the OGs, and you started off with Copic Classic! But what are each of these markers? Let's take a look at each of them individually.
COPIC CLASSIC is the original Copic Marker, debuting in 1987 with a distinct square shape. Classic comes in 214 colors, holds the most ink out of all the Copis types, and comes with Standard Fine and Standard Broad nibs.

COPIC SKETCH is our most popular and best-selling product, debuting in 1993 and featuring the full spectrum of 358 Copic colors. Sketch comes with the famous Super Brush nib, along with a clean Medium Broad nib.

COPIC CIAO is the newest member of the Copic Marker family, debuting in 1998 and currently featuring the 180 most-used Copic colors. Its lower price point is perfect for artists just starting out with Copic!
